4ozfresh mozzarella cheese, sliced thinly (optional for creaminess)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the baguette slices evenly on a baking sheet. Brush one side of each slice generously with olive oil and lightly sprinkle with sea salt.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 5-7 minutes until the bread turns golden brown and crispy.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries with the finely chopped basil. Drizzle in the balsamic glaze and add a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together.
After toasting, rub the cut side of the halved garlic clove over each toasted slice to infuse a subtle garlic aroma.
Spoon a generous amount of the strawberry-basil mixture onto each toasted bread slice, and if desired, place a thin slice of fresh mozzarella on top.
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and drizzle any remaining balsamic glaze over the entire platter. Serve immediately.
Notes
Consider garnishing with a sprig of fresh basil or a few whole strawberries on the platter for an eye-catching display.
